When the time comes to sell your investment property American Properties is here to help. If the property is still in good condition and meets our criteria we will be happy to purchase it back off you. We also are able to market it back to existing and new American Properties members. Finally we can also refer you to real estate agents and other investors willing to help you sell your property. Beyond the “traditional” methods to sell a property, there are many more options available in the US:

  • Lease options/rent-to-own
  • Seller financing
  • Land contracts

If you wish to remain invested in the US property market after you sell your property, you may also take advantage of a 1031 exchange. A 1031 exchange, otherwise known as a tax deferred exchangeis a simple strategy and method for selling one property, that’s qualified, and then proceeding with an acquisition of another property (also qualified) within 180 days. In simple terms, the transaction is considered an exchange by the IRS and not a sale, hence not subject to capital gains taxation.
